The Audiocorder - Mac Audio Recording Software

Mac Audio Recording

An easy to use yet sophisticated mac audio recording program to use on your computer is the Audiocorder. With the use of any direct cable connection or a microphone, you can record any audio source with the press of a button. This software will convert your audio files to mp3 format or automatically transfer files to iTunes and add them to playlists.

Let's talk about a few things and the Audiocorder. First, it can function like an audio tape recorder. By the press of a single button you can start or stop a recording or go from one recording to the next. All of your recordings can be stored together in a single file or they can each have a separate file of their own.

The second thing to talk about is that the Audiocorder can also function as a VCR. This function allows you to set a time for your Audiocorder to start recording and an ending time. You can also tell it how long you want it to record for with a timed recording feature.

A voice audio recorder or VOX is a third feature to talk about. Using this feature allows you to set the volume that the volume needs to be before recording begins and ends. In doing this when there is no sound and dead air is eliminated. Using this feature turns your Audiocorder into an unattended and automated recorder. Trying to tell the difference in static and real audio such as speech and music makes it easier for the VOX feature to allow the Audiocorder to record short wave radio and other audio devices.

And the final thing to talk about is that any Mac using OS 9 or X the Audiocorder can serve as a telephone call recorder. Now you can record your phone conversations using your internal modem. However this doesn't work with all Mac models. So be sure to test it on your modem if this is a desired feature. Due to no analog sound input capabilities, this will not work with iBooks and Cubes. Each sound file is saved in Mac standard format (AIFF), though, it also supports WAVE format. Sample your audio at 11, 22, or 44 kHz, 8 or 16 bit sample size either mono or stereo. The date and time of the recording down to the seconds is contained on your saved recordings. The Audiocorder is supported on Mac OS 8, 9 and X systems.

These are some of the desirable features of this Macintosh audio recording program.
